Christmas Calligraphy with Gem 9/11/24

Want to learn a beautiful creative skill that can also be used daily that is also relaxing? Modern calligraphy is perfect for you! ✍
The Beginner's workshop gives you the understanding of the basics so that you can succeed in creating eye-catching calligraphy and towards the end of the session we'll create some greeting cards for you to give to friends or family.
Some reasons to learn calligraphy:
Relaxing and a great way to switch off from technology
You can create handmade cards, gifts and home decor
Become part of a lovely community that loves this art form
It's satisfying to see how much your calligraphy improves with practice
You can use it daily, making everyday notes look prettier
In this workshop you'll be learning:
The differences between calligraphy and cursive
How to hold your brush pen
How to create the basic calligraphy strokes
How to connect the letters
How to put these together to form the alphabet in a calligraphic style
Doodles to decorate white space
Some greeting card designs
You will be provided with a 20 page workbook, a brush pens and some blank greetings cards that you'll work with during the event and take home with you. Your ticket also includes tea or water and you will be able to purchase coffee & cake from our very own coffee bar to enjoy in the workshop.

Pease note, bookings are non refundable.
You will receive confirmation of booking through email to confirm your place on the Workshop.
If we are unable to provide you with a place on the Workshop, for example because the Workshop is fully booked or no longer available or because of an error in the price on our site, we will inform you of this by e-mail or phone call and we will not process your request. If you have already paid for the Workshop, we will refund you the full amount as soon as possible and this shall be our full liability in this regard.
We reserve the right to refuse any request for booking at our discretion without reason.
Workshop prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect reservations already placed.
If you have booked a private event, this will be a non-refundable booking. Please make sure you have all the correct booking details prior to booking with us.
